Overview

An Exciting First Semester

Welcome to the University of Pittsburgh. New & Transfer Student Orientation includes a variety of programs and events that will help you become comfortable in your new home and get connected to the University. It's a great opportunity to meet other students, staff, and faculty, and learn about campus resources, services, and Pitt traditions.

What to Expect

Spring New & Transfer Student Orientation is a six-day program that will begin on Thursday January 2 (international Students) and will run until Tuesday, January 7th. Residence Halls open on January 3rd and classes begin January 6th. Orientation will include over social and informational programs for both students and parents. We are hoping to become more green this year and will not be distributing paper copies of our orientation schedule in the mail thia summer, but we will post it on our website in PDF format.
