Overview

An Exciting First Semester

Welcome to the University of Pittsburgh. New Student Orientation includes a variety of programs and events that will help you become comfortable in your new home and get connected to the University. It's a great opportunity to meet other students, staff, and faculty, and learn about campus resources, services, and Pitt traditions.

What to Expect

Spring New & Transfer Student Orientation is a six-day program that will begin on Thursday January 3 (international Students) and will run until Tuesday, January 8th. Residence Halls open on January 4th and classes begin January 7th. It will include over 100 social and informational programs for both students and parents. We are hoping to become more green this year and will not be distributing paper copies of our orientation schedule in the mail thia summer, but we have posted it HERE on our website in both interactive catalogue, and regular PDF formats.

AlcoholEDU

AlcoholEDU - REQUIRED FOR ALL Freshman Students

AlcoholEDU is an online alcohol education program designed to assist students in making healthy decisions regarding alcohol.   This program is mandatory for all new freshman students and is highly reccomended for transfer students.  Please see the directions below and complete the survey before the start of classes.
