Welcome to the Office of First Year Experience!

The Office of First Year Experience, or FYE, provides programming and services to all new students on Pitt-Oakland’s campus.  This includes all first year college freshman as well as new transfer students and those who have relocated from other Pitt campuses.  FYE is housed in the Department of Student Life, but is a collaboration with many other offices including Residence Life, Commuter Student Programs and Transfer Student Programs. This site will provide you with information about orientation programs, retreats and other programs designed for first year students.

Be sure to bring your release form with you. If you are under 18, you must get a parents signature. Download the release here.

Directions for completing AlcoholEdu and Haven
New Freshman: All incoming student must complete the AlcoholEdu module before orientation. Instructions for accessing and completing the AlcoholEdu module can be found HERE.
Transfer Students: If you are a transfer or relocated student, you must complete both the AlcoholEdu and Haven modules.  If you have already completed AlcoholEdu or Haven, please follow the instructions for getting your results transferred to Pitt. You can find instructions for completing the modules or transferring them HERE.
